Happy New Year Everyone!
I know I'm a little late with the first few weeks of January gone by, but don't worry. Only one major thing has happened so far that you need to catch up on...I GOT MY FIRST TATTOOS (as seen in the cover photo)!
New year, new me, am I right?
As much as I love my tattoos, this post is not about my new body art. Instead, I dedicate this post to commemorating the past year by sharing many pictures and some videos.
Last year was the best year of my life, and I shared some of my life-changing experiences on this blog; however, there are still so many stories and experiences I have yet to share, and this post is shining light on some of those special moments of 2024.
Also, as a side note, I want to say a quick thank you to anyone who reads this blog. Your support means everything to me. A big part of my 2024 was creating this blog, so thank you for being part of that special moment.
Anyway, I can't believe it's already 2025. I feel like I'm still stuck in 2016, and it's even more mind-blowing that Covid was five years ago. I remember feeling very lost and uncertain about my future during the pandemic. Still, here I am today, graduating from university, travelling to Australia, and writing for my blog all in 2025.
I've talked a lot about my time abroad on this blog. The first six months of 2024 were a complete high. From never leaving my childhood bedroom to being alone in a new country, it was a drastic change, and I can confidently say there were never any lows or times when I felt like I wanted to go home. It was a six-month-long honeymoon during which I discovered more about myself than I had in my entire life.
Here are some honourable 2024 Europe memories:
Day Trip Amsterdam (or, more accurately, a full 24 hours with zero sleep trip to Amsterdam):

Family time in Italy & Switzerland:

Meeting up with a friend in Brussels:

Kayaking through caves in Portugal:

Weekend markets in Nijmegen:

Kings Day (aka the biggest Dutch party day of the year):

Group Trip to Denmark & Sweden

Meeting my brother in Switzerland & bringing my Nonno to Amsterdam:

Beach Day in The Hague!

Watching the Euros in Nijmegen:

And so many more!
Europe wasn't the only highlight of 2024; my time back home was peaceful and was the refreshing break I needed after 6 months of travelling. The quiet mornings I spent in cafes, studying on campus, working my Hotel job, and playing hockey with my friends were the perfect homecoming gifts after being away.

As I look back on the whirlwind that was 2024, I can't help but feel immensely grateful for the experiences, the people, and the growth it brought into my life.
Now, stepping into 2025, I'm carrying all those memories and friendships and ready to take on a new chapter somewhere slightly more.... down under.
In exactly 1 month, I will be on the opposite side of the world, chilling with the kangaroos in Australia.
Like any normal person, I'm nervous about branching out and being out of my comfort zone again, but I'm excited to see what 4 months in Australia will do to my growth as a human.
I can't wait for this next adventure, and the best part is you will hear all about it because I plan to blog it all!
So, cheers to 2025! May all your manifestations and dreams come true. I'm rooting for all of you and hope you have the best year ever!
xoxo
